Privacy Policy

This statement explains which data Gift IT! processes and why it is used.

Data We Store

  • Gift draw session name, join code, and admin token.
  • Participant names.
  • Optional contact details, such as email address.
  • Optional wishlist or notes.
  • Exclusions between participants.
  • Generated assignments and private reveal tokens.

Purpose

Data is processed to create a private gift draw, let participants join, respect exclusions, generate assignments, and provide private reveal links or optionally send them by email.

Legal Basis

Use is voluntary and invitation-based. Processing is based on consent and/or legitimate interest in providing the private service.

Storage and Deletion

Data is stored for as long as the session is needed by participants or until deletion is requested. Server logs may be processed temporarily for security and troubleshooting.

Email Sending

If an email address is entered and SMTP is configured, the organizer can send private reveal links by email. Without an email address, there is no automatic email notification.

Sharing With Third Parties

Gift IT! does not actively share stored content with third parties. When email is sent, the configured mail server receives the data required to deliver the message.
